ENDANGERED CRESTED CRANE: Destruction of wetlands poses threat to national bird
The East African Regional Manager for International Crane Foundation, Dr Adalbert Aineomugisha has revealed that Grew cranes have tremendously plummeted causing to their extinction. He added that the rapid decline of crane population came after wetland breeding grounds were altered and disturbed as farmers and settlers cleared wetlands for farming.
