Analysts examine primaries vs vetting in Uganda's democracy
In multiparty democracies, the management of elections for political representatives is considered a critical process, that determines the quality and policy credibility of the government. Election processes and procedural frameworks should be able to select competent political candidates with knowledge, integrity, and honesty to make better policy decisions and ensure a responsive government. Today, we analyze the primary electoral systems in Uganda's democracy, considering the existing challenges and implications for the future of elections in Uganda.
