70 NUP supporters remanded to Kitalya prison
Seventy four supporters of the National Unity Platform who were arrested during a raid on the Party headquarters in Kamwokya, Kampala on Wednesday have been charged at the City Hall and Buganda Road Magistrates Courts with unlawfully wearing attire meant for the exclusive use of members of Uganda's armed forces; and disobedience of lawful orders. As Ivan Kimuli Kigozi reports, a group of youth civil society activists have condemned the raid on NUP offices and demanded the unconditional release of the party supporters.
