NEW SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY: Ramathan Ggoobi officially takes over
Finance minister Matia Kasaija has tasked incoming Secretary to the treasury Ramathan Goobi to steer the finance ministry which is effectively in charge of the economy, amidst gov’t expenditure pressures and a country currently struggling to gain recovery from the destruction caused by the pandemic. According to the recent central bank, figures growth is projected in the range of 3.5 - 4.0 per cent.
