MTN Uganda injects funds into rural communication fund, bridging gap for rural Communities
The Uganda Communication Commission has received a statutory cash injection from MTN Uganda, as part of the capitalization of the rural communication fund. The regulator uses these funds, paid by the telecoms to bridge the communication gap for rural communities, through infrastructure establishment particularly where the telecoms may not find it viable to build their own.
