COVID-19 ECONOMY: Growth gains could be reversed
The expected 3.5% to 4% economic growth as projected by the central bank and other agencies could be reversed with the onset of the second and more deadly COVID- 19 wave. According to the Managing Director ABSA Mumba Kalifungwa, the uncertainty and the measures directed at fighting the disease is certain to affect economic growth on the one hand. This during a convergence of Economists, bankers and government officials at the ABSA post-budget forum held in Kampala on Friday.
