800,000 businesses to be registered by 2027
Government has set a target of 2027 to have added more than 800,000 new enterprises in the business registry. According to the Uganda Registration services bureau, this will further deepen financial inclusion among households, but most importantly to ease access to funding, given majority of the enterprises remain informal according to the secretary to the treasury Ramathan Gobi.
