Participants from six nations face off in Kireka Chess tourney
Over one hundred Chess players from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Nigeria and Afghanistan are competing in the sixth edition of the Kireka Chess club championship that got underway this morning at Gloria Gardens in Namugongo. The players are seeking qualification points ahead of next year’s first twelve and All Africa chess championship. The participants are scheduled to play two rounds daily over four days.
