Women human rights defenders call for more support
Women Human Rights Defenders have renewed their call to the government to put in place a regulatory framework to protect them. This comes days after the Uganda Human Rights Commission released its 27th annual report, which highlighted several challenges women human rights defenders are facing in their line of duty. The activists are also asking parliament to expedite the passing of the Human Rights Defenders bill to strengthen their legal protection.
