UPDF AMENDMENT BILL: LOP Ssenyonyi reveals opposition considering boycott
On Tuesday, Parliament will receive the second reading of the UPDF Amendment Bill, aimed, among other things, at reintroducing provisions that allow military courts to try civilians. The matter has attracted consternation from sections of the opposition, with some considering boycotting the hearings. However, the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Joel Senyonyi, says they are yet to decide whether to attend the hearings.
