The boda boda industry, long recognized for its vital role in transport, has grown into an economic force that can no longer be ignored. With over 1.8 million riders operating largely informally, stakeholders such as the National Social Security Fund, the Uganda Revenue Authority, and insurance firms are now exploring ways to integrate the sector into the formal economy.
