In a bid to promote inclusivity for people with disabilities, the Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, has announced plans to provide more learning kits to incorporate them into the digital transformation agenda. While speaking at the children’s conference in Wakiso District, the Commissioner in charge of Disability Affairs, Prosper Muhumuza, called on parents and society not to stigmatize people with disabilities, noting that with proper care, they can make valuable contributions to social development.
