A fortnight ago, we brought you the story of Dr. Ken Chapman, an American dentist who embraced the Kiganda culture to better serve Ugandans for over 45 years. Today, we bring you Dr. Daniel Hugh Jamison, another American national who has lived in Uganda for 10 years, embracing the Rukiga culture to better serve the people of Bwindi, Kanungu District. Dr. Jamison's story came to light when he presided over the graduation of several nurses trained at Bwindi Community Hospital, with his son translating for him in Rukiga. We have more in this story.
