Activists reject calls to legalise marijuana
Addiction Prevention and Rehabilitation Association of Uganda are urging parliament and government to prioritise the health of Ugandans instead of commercial benefits of Marijuana and Khat production which they are saying continues to have adverse effects to youths. The activists are calling on government not legalize the use of the two drugs which they say are devastating many youths lives.Parliament's committee on defence is scrutinizing the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Bill, 2023 which will seek to regulate the use of drugs in the country.
