How the Anglican faith has grown in Northern Uganda
Christianity was introduced to Uganda in the late 19th century by European missionaries, specifically the Church Missionary Society, which arrived in the country in 1877. These missionaries were of the Anglican faith.
They were responsible for spreading the gospel to several parts of the country, including Northern Uganda, the cluster of the Church of Uganda responsible for organizing the 2025 Martyrs Day celebrations.
In the following report, NTV's DANIEL KIBET explores the role played by the Church Missionary Society in building the foundation for the Anglican faith in Northern Uganda.
