In Uganda, most mothers breastfeed their babies at some point, but exclusive breastfeeding rates for the first six months are lower than recommended. Although Uganda is among the countries achieving above 60% exclusive breastfeeding rates, the actual figures show a decline in exclusive breastfeeding as infants grow older.
