Former Makerere University Vice Chancellor Frank Kalimuzo memorialized
Family and friends yesterday gathered at Makerere University to pay tribute to the former vice chancellor Frank Kalimuzo, in a Memorial lecture held at the institution. Kalimuzo was the first Vice Chancellor of the newly formed Makerere University, appointed on the 1st of July 1970 by then President Milton Obote. However, Frank was kidnapped by armed men in 1972 on suspicion of collaborating with anti-government agents, and has never been seen again. He is suspected to have been murdered and his body dumped in an unmarked grave.
