Uganda Cancer Institute tests herbal products for cancer care
The Uganda Cancer Institute’s Centre for Natural Therapeutics is conducting pre-clinical studies on seven herbal products designed to prevent cancer, support wound healing, and help patients cope with the side effects of conventional cancer treatments. Dr. Boniface Adeka, the head of the centre, said the herbal formulations are currently being tested on animals but hope to begin clinical trials soon.
