Rising stroke cases spur initiative on health awareness

Stroke is a major health concern in Uganda, ranking among the top causes of adult deaths, largely due to high rates of modifiable risk factors like hypertension. There is a growing trend of stroke in younger adults, linked to the prevalence of factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and sickle cell disease. Now, as Walter Mwesigye reports, a school here in Kampala has taken up the mantle to raise awareness about non-communicable diseases, with a focus on stroke.
