NUP leaders storm Mbarara police station after Kyagulanyi convoy ambush

A day after chaos rocked the Mbarara–Ibanda highway when security forces ambushed the convoy of NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, the party’s top leadership shifted from campaign mode to crisis response—storming Mbarara Central Police Station to demand answers over the arrest and alleged mistreatment of more than a hundred supporters. Kyagulanyi later addressed rallies in Rwampara and nearby areas.
