2026 presidential candidates outline competing visions for Uganda’s oil

Uganda is expected to make over seven trillion shillings every year from oil. However, some analysts have warned that if the resources from the black gold are not well utilized, oil can become a curse. In all this, the President has a big role to play in ensuring that oil benefits the general public. NTV looked at the manifestos of four candidates vying for the top office in 2026 to understand what they have to offer to the oil and gas sector. Sudhir Byaruhanga reports.
