How Acholi Chief’s detention influenced the naming of Kololo hill

In 1911, Rwot Awic of the Payira clan of Acholi was arrested by the British, arraigned before a court in Nimule, and sentenced to eight years in a Kampala jail located on present-day Kololo Hill. Some historians argue that this incident influenced the naming of the present-day Kololo and Naguru hills. Emmy Daniel Ojara has the story.
