Gen Africa income fund set up to help the common business person

Gen Africa Asset Managers Uganda Limited has launched the Gen Africa Fixed Income Fund — a groundbreaking investment vehicle designed specifically for retail investors: the everyday person seeking financial empowerment. According to Charles Omol, Portfolio Manager at Gen Africa, the initiative is a deliberate effort to extend professional fund management services beyond corporations and institutions. The fund aims to break barriers of knowledge and capital by providing everyday Ugandans, families, investment clubs, and couples with an accessible platform to grow their savings and achieve long-term goals — such as starting a business, purchasing a home, or securing school fees — through safe investments in instruments like government and corporate debt.
