Twenty-eight days from now Ugandans will go to the polls to elect a president and members of parliament. This campaign is unprecedented because of the challenges caused by the corona virus pandemic.
Whereas this should have been a contestation of ideas, the campaign has been marred by violence that resulted in the loss of lives. As a country Uganda has had a tumultuous past caused by disputed election results.
My guest this evening is man with a wealth of experience. He is former minister for security, in the Obote two government. He spent 20 years in luzira prison on death row.
