Assessing the current political climate with Beti Kamya | ON THE SPOT
Betty Olive Namisango Turwomwe Kamya has seen it all, or has she? She is now the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development after previously serving as Minister for Kampala Metropolitan Affairs.
Kamya, a daughter of a soldier is a qualified marketeer and has mostly used her marketing skills in politics. She was previously in the FDC party as a senior official and later formed the Uganda Federal Alliance (UFA) on whose ticket she stood as a presidential candidate in 2016.
Kamya is now firmly in the NRM and is seeking to recapture her seat as Lubaga North MP.
