Two men seek justice after nearly 20 years of wrongful conviction
The Government of Uganda is bound to protect, respect and fulfil the inherent and universal human rights guaranteed by Article 8 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. But, what happens when people are wrongfully convicted of crimes they did not commit? Gillian Nantume spoke to Gaspari Byaruhanga and Everest Seguya, brothers who spent 20 years in jail for a crime they did not commit, and their quest of getting back the lost years.
