THOMAS KWOYELO CASE: High court blames funding shortfalls for delays
The trial of Thomas Kwoyelo a former commander of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) is set to resume before the International Crimes Division in the High Court of Uganda in Gulu. The Deputy registrar Beatrice Stella Ati-ngu said the case had dragged on for longer than expected, something the court is committed to serving it this time. The trial is being presided over by a panel of four judges Duncan Gas-wa-gga, Michael (A -LU-BU)El-u-bu, Stephen Mubiru and Andrew Bash - ai- ja. Thomas Kwo-ye- lo is charged with 93 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The court says it is committed to running the trial till its conclusion.
