Undeployed medical interns seek meeting with leader
As Gulu City prepares to host the first of a series of regional parliamentary sittings, undeployed medical interns in Northern Uganda are seeking an audience with Speaker Anita Among and President Yoweri Museveni. The interns, including doctors, nurses, and dentists, say their efforts to address their concerns through various channels have been unsuccessful, leaving them struggling and at risk of losing their practical skills. Over 1,000 medical interns remain undeployed across the country, with the Central Government citing budgetary constraints and other challenges.
