Trucks set to resume border crossing
The long traffic queues at the Busia and Malaba borders with Kenya is beginning to ease. In the last two weeks, the lines between Busia and Kisumu on the Kenyan side of the border stretched up to 35 kilometres while that between Malaba and Bungoma was even longer. The long lines were caused by a shortage of COVID-19 testing kits on the Kenyan side.
