Scouts to plant 10,000 trees to restore Kazi forest
Students from different universities and members of the Uganda Scouts Association have joined a campaign to restore the 48 hectares of Kazi forest in Makindye Ssababagabo municipality in Wakiso district.
The tree-planting campaign which was joined by FAO country representative Antonio Querido and renown Scout Chief Maggie Kigozi will see over 100,000 trees planted. The environmentalists say the forest is the only nearby one to Kampala and can save the pollution of the area.
