Rosebud ltd gifts workers with household items

In an effort to better livelihoods, the management of Rosebud limited, a flower export company, has gifted its workers with house hold items including mattresses.

This happened at tan event that was attended by the company’s Chief Executive Director, Rajiv Ruparelia and the Wakiso district chairperson, Lwanga Bwanika.

Ruparelia says that the company intends to expand its operations which will benefit the workers and the Ugandan economy as a whole.

"This means we are creating more jobs and Uganda is getting more foreign exchange and as the market grows abroad we will expand our operations which will increase more earnings to the company and the economy at large" Rajiv said.

Rosebud ltd is a company founded by business mogul, Sudhir Ruparelia and exports about 150 million roses annually.  Recently, the Managing Director, Rajiv Ruparelia, announced that the company has now obtained international certification which will allow it to sell flowers in many more countries.

By the year 2000, the farm hard 13 hectares but now it has over 60 hectares under greenhouses and employing over 1500 staff.
