Buganda road court has adjourned to 18th June 2021 the criminal trial of embattled Kawempe North MP Mohammed Segirinya who is accused of demanding Kyagulanyi's Presidential victory through alleged incitement to violence.

Ssegirinya's lawyer Jonathan Kiryowa received the date from the Court Clerk. The trial that was scheduled for 12th May 2021 did not happen because the Government declared it a public holiday to allow the Swearing-in of President Museveni for an elective sixth term.

Grade One Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu is presiding over the case.

Ssegirinya, who is now out on bail, is alleged to have committed the offence on 22nd March 2021 in the heart of Kampala city.

According to Police, Ssegirinya was arrested at the entrance of Kikuubo lane heading to Mini price traffic lights; in the company of five other people in suits and a crowd of youths; carrying a placard with words," Free our Presidential victory". Free James Mubiru; Free Eddie Mutwe and Free Nubian Lee".

He, however, denied the charges.
