How NDA certifies drugs for use and sale
Many Ugandans use traditional herbal medicine as a first line of treatment when they fall sick. Consequently, traditional medicine occupies a special place in the management of diseases in Uganda. To ensure good care the National Drug Authority (NDA) urges manufacturers of herbal medicine to use its laboratory to test and certify these medicines. Patrick Senyondo spent a day studying how drugs are finally certified human treatment.
