Health officials in Njeru close down factories over COVID-19 rules
Njeru municipality health department has temporarily closed some factories in the area for failure to observe the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) put in place to avoid the spread of COVID-19. The closure follows the inspection carried out at the different company premises to ascertain the current working conditions. Some of the factories inspected were unhygienic and some employees didn’t have masks which was contrary to the SOPs put in place by the ministry of health, one of the factories closed include Paramukh steel.
