Thursday January 07 2021

The National Unity Platform Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine has spoken out after photos of his children at the airport surfaced on social media.
The photos attracted mixed reactions from the public.
Kyagulanyi has since released a statement via his Facebook page.
“The nation is aware of the challenges my family has endured from the time I decided to take on the dictatorship of Gen. Yoweri Museveni. My children have lived in constant fear over the past three years…” reads part of the statement.
He also added that he had credible information about pending attacks on his family.
“That is why therefore, when I received information of pending physical attacks on me, my wife and kidnap of our children, friends in the diaspora reached out to us, offered to host them for a while! That does not mean that me or my wife are any safer by remaining around. But our effort is to ensure they don't kidnap one of these minors and try to use them to coerce us into subjugation ”Kyagulanyi adds.
The musician turned politician also condmened the ‘unprofessional conduct’ of the people behind the releasing of the travel details of his four children.
“You can also see the unprofessional conduct of the immigration staff who went ahead to share confidential travel information of minors with the public. None of our institutions is independent..” He adds.
Incumbent and NRM flag bearer in the race President Kaguta Museveni has on several occasions during his campaigns reiterated that no one would be allowed to threaten people or even cause chaos before, during and after the general elections.
We have information that NUP people want to cause chaos. I have also seen reports that Robert Kyagulanyi’s family is already on the way to Texas. Why? Rogers Mulindwa, Communications Manager NRM hypothetically asked.
