Former Buganda Lukiiko Speaker Hajj Musa Kaddu Sserunkuuma died on Tuesday.

Those close to his family say he has been sick for some time. Mengo officials have confirmed his demise but the cause of death remains unclear.
Hajji Sserunkuuma served as Buganda Lukiiko [parliament] Speaker during the tenure of former Kattikiro, Eng JB Walusimbi who replaced Emmanuel Ssendaula.

The late Hajji Sserunkuuma was a son to former Lukiiko Speaker, the late Ali Kulumba.

The Kabaka appointed him speaker in a cabinet reshuffle of 2008 after the death of Hajji Sulaiman Kaddunabbi Lubega who was the Lukiiko speaker then.

During Sserunkuuma's term in office, he was deputised by Dr Higiro Semajege who died in 2013.
Hajji Sserunkuuma is the third ranking official of Buganda kingdom to die in a space of one month.

Former local government minister and MP Arthur Bagunywa was buried on Monday after the death of Nabagerekka's father, John Mulumba Luswata last month.
