Busia officials in a business slump due to slow internet
Clearing and forwarding agents at the Busia, insist that business has barely picked up for them, given the usual volume of cargo laden trucks that cross the common border point. Micheal Amodoi, an official within the Clearing and Forwarding fraternity, says even with the unlocking of the Internet, connections remain slow and poor for most of them. The Uganda Revenue Authority however, maintains that its clearing window remains operational and that more 600 trucks are now cleared for entry/exit each day up from 500 last week.
