Kakumiro set for Liberation Day celebrations
The organizers of the 37th National Liberation day which will be held in Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja’s home district, are putting finishing touches to the venue at Kakyeeka grounds in Kakumiro town council. While he is there, President Yoweri Museveni will launch the issuance of land titles to hundreds of beneficiaries settled on the land government acquired from absentee landlords. The minister of state for public service Mary Mugasa told NTV that the ownership of land by absentee landlords is a major challenge in the oil-rich Bunyoro sub-region.
