EAC convenes dialogue to end M23 war in Congo
The East African heads of state have emphasised their commitment to the peace process in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The leaders met today in Kenya's capital Nairobi during the Inter-Congolese dialogue on the restoration of peace and security in Eastern DRC. This dialogue will run up to Saturday with authorities engaging with armed groups in Eastern DRC, local community leaders, civil society and other relevant stakeholders to find sustainable solutions to the security situation.
