Ugandan budding talent Mustafa Kizza is relishing the chance to play under Thierry Henry at Montreal Impact. Mustafa signed a two-year contract with the Major League Soccer club that will allow him to work with his childhood hero. However, because of the pandemic that has affected the sports industry he will remain in his current club, Kampala City Council Authority, until December. The break from sports also affected Betway sports betting as there were fewer matches to bet on. But, sports bettors can breathe a sigh of relief as several sports tournaments restart.

Thierry Henry inspired the 20-year-old with his goal-scoring in his playing days. The former French international enjoyed a successful playing career winning trophies everywhere he went. He played for French side Monaco, Arsenal in England and Barcelona in Spain. Many football fans and punters on Betway will remember the invincible and what they achieved.

At the national level, Henry won the world cup in 1998 and the European Championship in 2000. The Canadian team is willing to let Kizza join earlier if the pandemic status changes. When the deadly virus struck, the MLS was suspended in March after two games.

The league was scheduled to return but in a different format. MLS decided the remaining fixtures would be played in a tournament set-up. However, the restart dubbed 'MLS is back' has had several challenges. Because of the protocols, teams have been reporting some players tasting positive for the virus.

Some players have chosen to skip the tournament for various reasons. The schedule for the competition has been released, and the matches are underway. Kizza will have to join other MLS fans in following the tournament on Television from Uganda. On the other hand, the competition presents another opportunity for sports betting fans on Betway to stake on their favorite teams.

Once he joins his new teammates, there are things he will have to get used to fast. Most importantly, he will have to learn some French because it is the preferred language in Montreal and Quebec.

Another thing the youngster must adapt to is the weather. The conditions in Canada are different from those in Uganda. He must be able to cope with the harsh winter in Canada. When players fail to adapt to their new surroundings, it can hurt their performances on the pitch.

Luckily for Kizze, he's had some exposure already. At the beginning of the year, he spent some time in Switzerland, and he had to cope with severe weather there. He was there on trials at FC Zurich.

Montreal Impact are also excited to acquire the Ugandan youngster. Some of the strengths they hope left wingback will bring to the team is his great crossing. He will also team up with Victor Wanyama from Kenya. Wanyama joined the MLS team from Tottenham Hotspurs in March after falling out of favor with the coach. Wanyama is more experienced, so he will most likely help Kizza to settle.

For now, he will be hoping this pandemic gets under control soon so that he can continue his development at his new club under his boyhood hero, Thierry Henry.
