FIFA Ethics committee suspends FUFA Boss, Moses Magogo

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has suspended Federation for Uganda Football Association (FUFA) boss Moses Hassim Magogo for two months in any kind of football activity at national or International level.

This comes after an investigation by the FIFA ethics committee against Moses Magogo which started on the 29th July 2019. The investigation related to the resale of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tickets.

“The Suspension became effective upon the validation of the agreement by the chairman of the adjudicatory chamber on 10th October, 2019,” read a statement released by the FIFA Ethics committee.

According to the statement Magogo and The FIFA Ethics Committee mutually agreed to 2 sanctions. One of these is the suspension.

FIFA has also fined Magogo CHF 10,000 (Swiss francs) which is over UGX 37 Million.

Moses Hassim Magogo is the president of FUFA the football governing body in Uganda and also a member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive committee. He is the chairperson of the investigatory chamber of CAF.
