FDC president Amuriat dismisses alleged party ties with NRM

FDC President Patrick Oboi Amuriat has dismissed claims that Nandala Mafabi, the FDC candidate in the 2026 presidential race, is an agent of President Museveni, the NRM candidate. Amuriat described allegations that the FDC party is managed by the NRM as false and misleading. The revelation comes as FDC candidate Nandala Mafabi campaigned in Mbale and Manafwa districts, where he pledged better healthcare services, improved roads, and poverty alleviation.
