Uganda’s COVID-19 cases now at 30

Uganda has as of today Sunday, 29th of March 2020 confirmed 30 cases of the fast spreading COVID-19 that has put the whole world on tenterhooks.

This after the latest confirmation of seven people that tested positive on Saturday.

The Ministry of Health confirmed the development after 225 samples were run with 218 testing negative and 7 testing positive.


The details of the seven are yet to be known.


As of today, Uganda stands at 30 confirmed cases, Kenya at 38, Tanzania 13, Rwanda 60 with Burundi and South Sudan all yet to register their first cases.

Following the confirmation of five cases before the latest 7, President
Kaguta Museveni earlier said there could be need for more drastic measures to curb spread.

The President is once again yet to make an official address of what the measures could be.
