Speaker of Uganda's Parliament at the launch of the 64th CPC supporting webiste

The Speaker of Parliament, Hon Rebecca Kadaga has undertaken her first public engagement ever since she returned from her medical leave in Nairobi where she was being treated for fatigue at Aga Khan hospital.

The Speaker returned from Nairobi, Kenya where she had been admitted after getting a sudden illness due to fatigue on 13th April 2019 according to reports. She had just returned from a 10-day long working trip to the USA and Morocco.

Today 26th April 2019, the speaker has launched the website for the upcoming 64th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) that is slated to run from the 22nd to 29th of September at the Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort.

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) organises its annual Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) each year. Global political issues and developments in the parliamentary system are analyzed in conference debates among leading Parliamentarians representing Parliaments and Legislatures throughout the Commonwealth.

The last time Uganda hosted the CPC was in 1967.
