On Monday, Kyandondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine accused police officers through a post on his twitter handle of knocking dead Rita Nabukenya, one of the supporters of People Power Pressure group

According to Bobi Wine, police officers in a patrol vehicle saw Nabukenya wearing a People Power attire, drove after her and knocked her dead.

However, police has denied all these allegations saying that Rita Nabukenya sustained serious injuries after she fell off a motorcycle UEY 675P that was trying to overtake a police patrol vehicle

Nabukenya, a resident of Bunamwaya was rushed to Mulago hospital by a police patrol car but later succumbed to injuries she sustained during the accident according to police.

“Traffic Police at Jinja road police has opened up inquiries into the matter with the aim of ascertaining what exactly happened,” Police said.

Rita’s body has been conveyed to city mortuary Mulago for postmortem as investigations proceed
