Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine says his Driver who he has been identified as Yasin Kawuma was reportedly shot dead by Police inside his Car.

In a tweet on his verified account, Mr Kyagulanyi who is in Arua to campaign for independent Candidate Kassiano Wadri also says his hotel has been cordoned off by Police.

NTV's reporter Herbert Zziwa who is at the scene has confirmed that indeed someone was shot in Bobi Wine's Car, but we are yet to ascertain if he or she is dead.

According to the Daily Monitor, Trouble started as different candidates were marching to their respective offices with supporters after campaign rallies ahead of Wednesday by-election to choose Arua Municipality Member of Parliament.
On Dorcus Inzikuru Street, supporters of Mr Kassiano Wadri, an Opposition leaning candidate, were marching ahead of supporters of Ms Nusura Tiperu, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate.
Suddenly, gunshots were fired, forcing them to scatter.

The group retaliated by hurling stones at security forces.

WestNile Police Spokesperson Josephine Angucia says Yasin Kawuma could have been hit by a stray bullet as police tried to clear the way for President Yoweri Museveni's convoy.

There was a scuffle as our reporter Herbert Zziwa reported this story, and we can't find him.

All is being done to ensure, he is found.

This is a developing story.
