Residents and businessmen on Saturday lost property worth millions of shillings to floods after a downpour in the afternoon.

Several cars that were parked at Kame washing bay in Watoni-Mukono were also submerged by the floods.

The other property that was affected include residential houses, Kaggwa restaurant and bar, MM Lodge and kiosks.

Robina Nantaba a business woman in Kame Watoni says that when the floods started, they made an alarm but got no help with recovering their property.

“Most business people had gone to attend a burial in Buikwe and property including vehicles, house hold items and business items were destroyed and some washed away by floods,” Nantaba says.

Vehicles that were submerged had been parked around the washing bay, but the occupants were rescued in time.
