FDC youth leaders in Kasese have given the party leaders a 5-day ultimatum to explain why Rt.Hon.Kiiza Winfred was dropped as the Leader of Opposition in parliament.

Gideon Ntabosi the Kasese district vice chairman, who is also the FDC youth chairperson in Kasese, told NTV that the manner in which Rt. Hon Winnie Kiiza was dropped is so unfortunate and they need answers.
Speaking at the district headquarters in Kasese, the angry youth who had escorted Mr Ntabosi, threatened to demonstrate if the FDC party fails to give clear reasons for the reshuffle.
Abdu Katuntu says Amuriat's reshuffle is a purge against opponents
On Friday, the FDC party President Patrick Amuriat sacked his Leader of Opposition Winnie Kiiza, and replaced her with Gulu Municipality MP Betty Aol Ocan, he also dropped various parliamentary committee heads, replacing Abdu Katuntu with Mubarak Munyagwa as the head of the committee on statutory enterprises, and returning party Secretary General Nathan Nandala Mafabi as head of the Public accounts committee in parliament.
Bugweri MP Abdu Katuntu called the reshuffle a purge.
