Busoga leaders demand government action on eastern route roads

Leaders in Busoga are urging the government to fulfill its pledge to improve infrastructure and ease trade and travel along the Eastern route. They say the president had directed some roads to be worked on, but progress has yet to be seen. The Ministry of Works and Transport, however, says work on the Iganga–Bulopa Road, including town roads in Iganga and other major towns, is set to start soon.
