Former Supreme court Justice George Kanyeihamba rejects Age limit bill
Speaking to NTV Committee Chair Jacob Oboth Oboth said they will meet the president and ask him about the comments he has made before in the media on performance and age.

Parliament’s   Legal and Parliamentary Affairs committee says it will meet President Yoweri Museveni to get his view on the constitutional amendment to remove the presidential age limit.

This came after retired  Supreme Court Justice, Justice George Kanyeihamba challenged the committee members to ask the president to comment on an interview he had with NTV where he said that beyond the age of 75 someone is inactive.

The retired Judge also stated that he strongly opposes the amendment of article 102 (B) of the constituent, and appealed to the compassion of the Legal and Parliamentary affairs committee of parliament. Kanyeihamba urged the MPs to think of their children, their compatriots, and elders like him.
